TAKE A DEEP DIVE

WALK INTO THE WATER
Not a certified diver? No problem. Skim underneath the Makena Landing and Wailea Beach coastlines in a special underwater scooter. Just walk into the water, don the provided mask and snorkel, and hold on. The scooters do the work as you zoom past yellow tang, triggerfish, turtles, moray eels, and colorful wrasses. It’s fun for the whole family.
For that fully submerged feeling (without getting wet), hop aboard a submarine, which departs daily from the wharf in Lāhainā. You’ll dive 100 feet down to the sea floor where a three-masted replica whaling ship rests.
VISIT A WATERFALL OR OCEAN VISTA
Jungle waterfalls are a staple on the island and can be found in parks and along the Hāna Highway. Ride along this historic highway full of the natural wonders of Hawai’i. Get even closer to the beauty with a half-mile trek on the Kūloa Point Trail, or take the longer 4-mile Pīpīwai Trail.
